Boat Dimensions Looking for just the right size to fit that mantle? Check out our dimensions first to see the item that will fit "just right" in the spot that you want.
Half Hulls Our half hulls are constructed with the same plank-on-bulkhead construction as our full size models. The back boards are made mostly now of Sapele mahogany and finished with several coats of Skidmore's fine wood finish. Each coat is hand rubbed into the wood with steel wood and then finished off with a coat of Skidmore's restoration cream and buffed.
History We've made up history cards that come with each of our models. You can view these pdf files and print your own to frame. 4"x6" size
Model Info Although we no longer manufacture the Sail Classics line of ship models, we are keeping this section available on our web site for those that have models and need some information or assembly instructions. S.S.S. Odyssey
Built in 1938 as a pleasure yacht, the Sparkman & Stephens yawl is being used today as a Sea Scout training ship in Tacoma, WA. Our model is made plank-on-bulkhead and beautifully detailed.
